THE SOUL OF JOHN BLACK breaks it down musical style at COZY'S in Sherman Oaks. The Soul of John Black is a celebration of African American musical heritage as John "JB" Bigham masterfully combines soul, gospel, funk, hip-hop and the blues into a sound with contemporary urban rhythms and hauntingly earthy acoustic slide guitar which at once pays tribute to a bygone era of such legendary figures as Leadbelly, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters, while boldly crossing over into new innovative territories and sonic frontiers.
