L.A. Derby Dolls at the Doll Factory - April 18 2009

L.A. DERBY DOLLS present the SIRENS VS. VARSITY BRAWLERS at the DOLL FACTORY.  Skates. Skirts. Scars. The L.A. Derby Dolls are Los Angeles' original women's quad-skate roller derby league.  Founded in October 2003 by Rebecca Ninburg (a.k.a. Demolicious) and Wendy Templeton (a.k.a. Thora Zeen), the L.A. Derby Dolls are a league of more than 120 women divided into Five teams who skate on a banked track.  This weeks thrilling match-up pits the 2007 champion SIRENS looking to roll after another championship in their first match of the 2009 against the VARSITY BRAWLERS who are out to show the new kids on the block can bring it!  As an extra bonus John Doe from the punk band X (www.xtheband.com) will sing the National Anthem.  The match starts at 6pm with $17 general admission and $40 VIP tickets available HERE.  You can get more information on the L.A.
