SAINT JOHN AND THE REVELATIONS perform at GENGHIS COHEN. Saint John has experienced much in his life and musical journey over the years and the lyrical and emotional depth of his music reflects this. Alana Sweetwater at Hotel Cafe - Jan 2 2009

ALANA SWEETWATER returns to the West coast for a special show at the HOTEL CAFE. I first saw Alana at the Hotel Café a few years ago where she proved good things do come in small packages. This girl has an amazing big sultry sound which she complements with her skills on the guitar. Since she moved to New York, LA has definitely lost one of its premier sirens so I highly recomend checking her show out. THE NEW-OVER helps your celebrate the first day of 2009 at CRANES HOLLYWOOD TAVERN. The NewOver continues the tradition of the summer doover event as a FREE house party style Jammy Jam complete with booze and bbq all day long. The DJ’s spin a great mix of Hip Hop, Rock, Rap, Dancehall, Disco and pretty much anything else you can shake your booty to. QUETZAL GUERRERO hits the stage for a weekly December residency show at THE REDWOOD BAR. Like his unique ethnic background of Native American, Brazilian and Mexican Quetzal’s music is an amazing convergence of Salsa, Yoruba, Brazilian , Jazz, Soul and a host of other styles. Giant Maximus in Downtown LA - Dec 31 2008

GIANT MAXIMUS returns for it's annual run as LA's largest New Years celebration in DOWNTOWN LA. Situated on a seven-acre private site in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles with the soaring skyscrapers towering above, GIANT MAXIMUS offers 4 Stages of live music and DJ performances and the Monster Midway (presented by Monster Energy) with High Flying Acrobatix, Psychedelic Circus Antics and, of course, the GIANT Ferris Wheel. Nautilist Ball at The Edison - Dec. 31 2008

THE 1st ANNUAL NAUTILIST BALL bring some classic LA style to the local New Year celebrations at THE EDISON. The Nautilist Ball will be an odyssey of futures past, a celebration of ambition and dreams, an evening of pure possibility! There will live Music from and performances throughout the night from Abney Park (www.abneypark.com) and Lucent Dossier (www.lucentdossier.com), dancing with DJ sounds from DJ Imagika (www.myspace.com/djimagika), an Open Premium Bar, Lavish Dessert Spread, Midnight Champagne Toast and much much more. Tickets are $175 and doors open at 9pm. The Edison is one of if not "the" best downtown LA night spot. Located in the basement of the original Los Angeles Edison Power Building it is a cool time warp to the 1930’s – 50’s. The Edison feature several lounge areas with furniture and spaces created from some of the original power plant machinery, background music and media visuals from the roaring era, and live dance acts throughout the night. CHRIS PIERCE rings in the New Year with some guitar soul at ZOEY'S CAFE. Chris is an amazing guitar player and equally talented singer. JAY NASH rocks in the New Year at ROOM 5 LOUNGE. Jay has long been one of my favorite LA artist. His soulful folk rock sound is always a crowd pleaser.
